Cala Gracioneta and Cala Graci贸, San Antonio de Portmany
Cala Gracioneta and Cala Graci贸 are situated at 1,5 kilometres from Sant Antoni de Portmany, located between the caps Negret and Blanc. Both beaches belong to the narrow u-shaped sea inlet which is the origin of them.
The coves are characterized by their small size, they are triangular with fine-grained white sand, and they are surrounded by a thick pine wood with some buildings, there is no wind, the water is crystal clear and calm, and invites you to dive. The slope is very gentle (in Cala Gracioneta, at 25 metres from the coast there is a depth of half a metre and in Cala Graci贸, at 40 metres from the coast there is one metre of depth).
They are exposed to the wind from the southwest-west-northwest and are sheltered from the air currents, except from those blowing from the west. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good in this sea inlet, on a sandy ground with seaweed, at a depth that ranges from four to six metres.
The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at eight hectometres from Cala Graci贸 and at one kilometre from Cala Gracioneta.
These characteristics explain that these beaches is not too crowded by local visitors and tourists.
